Detail Itinerary

Day 1 :  Srinagar

Pickup from Airport and, sightseeing The world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) & Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), & The Chasme Shahi Garden, & Shankaracharya Temple. after sightseeing check in Hotel / Houseboat, after fresh up visit to Dal Lake and 1 hrs Sikara Ride on Dal Lake, after sightseeing back to Houseboat / Hotel and overnight stay.

Mughal Gardens which have truly changed the face of the Mughal Empire is one of the most popular and the most visited tourist attractions of Srinagar. During their rule, the Mughals began to build several types of gardens in Persian architecture, and the combination of these gardens is referred to as the Mughal Gardens. The natural beauty of the place filled with lush green grass and the scented flowers is a stress-buster and pleasing to the eyes. The tourists who come here take long strolls in the garden or sit and admire the beauty of the place.

Day 2 : Srinagar - Gulmarg (55 Kms, 2 Hours) - Srinagar
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (2440 Meters above Sea level) - it is one of the most beautiful hill station in this world and also called meadows of flower.
It has world highest golf course and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports skiing etc. .Afternoon enjoy guided sightseeing of Gulmarg also enjoy Gondola ride (Cable car, own cost) from Gulmarg to Khilan. After Sightseeing back to Srinagar, and overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 3 : Srinagar - Pahalgam ( 5 - 6 hrs)
After breakfast checkout hotel and drive to Pahalgam. On arrival at Pahalgam check in at hotel. Later enjoy the nature and admire the beauty of this calm place and be in awe of the serene surroundings. Also visit "Valley of Shepherds". One can also enjoy a pony ride to nearby places like Chandanwadi (on a direct hire basis) or if you are an avid nature lover you may take pleasure in a peaceful walk along the River Lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes also & is the base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage. Overnight stay at hotel.
 

Day 4 : Pahalgam - Srinagar (3 - 4 hrs)
After Breakfast Check out hotel and  Sightseeing, Aru valley, Betab Valley & Chandanwari
Pahalgam is a beautiful small village in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Surrounded by steep hills and a white river transferring the valley makes Pahalgam the most craving tourist destination. From here you can gaze by the snow peaked mountains at the distance. This a photographer's hub from where you can capture the beautiful moments of the nature. It is also one of Bollywood's most desired shooting destination. After Sightseeing back to srinagar. Overnight stay in Hotel
 

Betaab Valley
It is just 15 km away from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The name of the valley is inherited from the name of the famous film Betaab of Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh as the shooting was covered there. It is in the middle of Chandanwari Pahalgam and is covered by the snow peaked mountains and lovely lush green meadows making a velvety path. Come in this romantic valley of Betaab and indulge in the romanticism of Pahalgam.

Aru Valley
Located at a distance of 12 km from Pahalgam, this village is surrounded by greens and behind the greens the tall snow topped mountains raises their head giving it a more picturesque view. Trekking to this place is very much alluring as the way towards it will make you elated and from here also you can trek towards Kolohoi glacier.

Chandanwari
Located at a distance of 15 km from Pahalgam it takes 40 mins to reach Chandanwari from Pahalgam. As you approach towards Chandanwari you will pass through the old Pahalgam town lined up by some traditional kashmiri houses. Many waterfalls coming out of the melted snow decorates the sides of the roads.

Day 5 : Srinagar - Sonamarg - Dras - Kargil (6 - 7 hrs)
After Breakfast Check out hotel and drive to Kargil via Sonamarg, Drass War Memorial Hall Evening check in Hotel and Stay.

Dras

Kargil War Memorial, is a war memorial built by the Indian Army, located in Drass, in the foothills of the Tololing Hill. The memorial is located about 5 km from the city centre across the Tiger Hill. It is located on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway 1D

Kargil war memorial, built by the Indian army following the war with neighboring Pakistan in the late nineties is frequented by travelers plying the highway connecting Srinagar to Leh. The memorial houses some of the major sequence of events that happened during the course of the war along with details of the Indian army personnel, who sacrificed their lives in the process of recapturing some of the peaks occupied by the Pakistan army; like the Tiger Hill and Tololong.

Kargil is a town, which serves as the headquarters of Kargil district of Ladakh in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is the second largest town in Ladakh after Leh. It is located 60 km and 204 km from Drass and Srinagar to the west respectively, 234 km from Leh to the east, 240 km from Padum to the southeast and 1,047 km from Delhi to the south.

Day 6 : Kargil  - Lamayuru - Sangam - Magnetic Hill - Guru Pathar Shahib Gurudwara - Hall of Fame (6 - 7 hrs)
After Breakfast Check out hotel and drive to Leh enroute viewing / visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining "Moonland" hills forming its backdrop. Driving further on along the Indus, visit Sanagm (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara & Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage).
Reach Leh in the evening. Overnight in Leh hotel.

Day 07 : Leh to Nubra via Khardungla Pass - Hunder (120 Km / 4 - 5 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley, also known as Valley of flowers via Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the World, (18,380 ft).
On your arrival in Nubra Valley check in the hotel / camp. Lunch will be provided by hotel/camp at Nubra.
After enjoying lunch proceed to enjoy walk on the banks of Shayok river, you can also enjoy a ride on double humped camel on the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Overnight stay in Hunder.

Diskit Monastery (Leh)
Diskit Monastery also known as Diskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India.

Diskit monastery is situated in the Nubra valley of Ladakh. Also known as Diskit Gompa, the Buddhist center is one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Leh Ladakh. The Diskit monastery was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo in the 14th century, and at present stands atop a hill above the plains of Shayok river. The prime attraction of the Diskit monastery is 100 foot high Maitreya Buddha statue, which was inaugurated by the holy Dalai Lama. From the top of the Gompa, where the divine statue is settled, one can have a panoramic view of the Nubra valley.

Day 08 : Hunder - Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok
After breakfast at hotel we drive to next destination pangong lake via Shyok and onto Tang Tse and Spangmik ( Pangong). It's a short cut and it's a beautiful route. The road follows the Shyok river, and climbs up a mountain before finally descending into Shayok village.

It took us less than an hour to reach Shayok, and we were delighted at the sight of the rather big village surrounded by barren mountains, the entire setting being very picturesque. Afternoon we reach at Pangong lake and enjoy your day at pangong lake. Overnight stay at camp.

Day 9 : Pangong Lake - Hemis / Thiksey - Leh
After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest monastery of Ladakh. Later drive on to Leh, enroute visiting the picturesque Thiksey monastery. Stok Palace, 3Idiot School and after sightseeing check in Hotel and overnight in hotel.

Thiksey Monastery
Thiksey Monastery is a convenient 45min drive from Leh - the main city in Ladakh. There is good choice of accomodation available in Leh. Alternatively, one can stay at the excellent Chamba Hotel at the base of Thiksey monastery and run by the Monastery. Chamba Hotel has traditional Ladakhi architecture.

Hemis monastery
Hemis monastery is one of the popular tourist destinations in Ladakh. This monastery is stationed on the west bank of the peaceful river Indus. The location lies 45 km from Leh city. This is the largest as well as amost favored monastery in Ladakh was constructed in 1672 AD under the reign of King Singge Namgyal. Hemis monastery host an annual festival called Hemis Tsechu attracts plenty of tourists across the globe. During this colourful day-long festival the local resident lamas glorify the victory of good over bad and perform dance wearing holy masks.
 

The Druk White Lotus School (3 Idiots School)
The great Indian Films! They make places a popular tourist spot out of nowhere!! Amir Khan Starrer "3 idiots" is one of such Indian Boolywood movie. Some parts of the film were shot at Pangaong Lake, Ladakh and some in a school near Leh named "The Druk White Lotus School" . The school is located 15 km from Leh town on the Leh-Manali highway in the village Shey. This school became a popular tourist spot after huge success of the movie and after damage of its building by cloudburst that struck Leh on August 2010. The actor Amir Khan visited the school after the incident and helped to raise funds for rebuilding damage structure of the school.

Day 10 : Leh
After breakfast full day rest and shopping .
 

Day 11 : Drop Leh Airport
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
