Day 01:
Srinagar Local Sightseeing
Pickup
from Airport and, sightseeing The world famous Mughal Gardens
visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) & Shalimar Bagh
(Abode of love), & The Chasme Shahi Garden, & Shankaracharya
Temple. after sightseeing check in Hotel / Houseboat,
after fresh up visit to Dal Lake and
1 hrs Sikara Ride on Dal Lake, after sightseeing back to Houseboat /
Hotel
and overnight stay.
Mughal Gardens which have truly changed the face of the Mughal
Empire is one of the most popular and the most visited tourist
attractions of Srinagar. During their rule, the Mughals began to
build several types of gardens in Persian architecture, and the
combination of these gardens is referred to as the Mughal Gardens.
The natural beauty of the place filled with lush green grass and the
scented flowers is a stress-buster and pleasing to the eyes. The
tourists who come here take long strolls in the garden or sit and
admire the beauty of the place.
Dal Lake,
Srinagar Overview The jewel of Srinagar, the Dal lake is synonymous
to a visit to Srinagar and almost a visual definition of the town.
Spread over 26 square kilometres, it is the most photogenic stretch
of paradise on earth and undoubtedly also the most sought after
attraction. It is situated in the midst of beautiful lush green
mountains and is the most pristine view of nature in all its glory.
Day:02
: Srinagar - Sonamarg - Srinagar
After breakfast Drive to Sonamarg, and full day excursion of Sonmarg
which is one of the most beautiful drive from Srinagar.
Sonmarg also
called Meadow of Gold is located at a height of 2690 meters. You may
take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow
remains round the year. Return to the houseboat/hotel by evening for
overnight stay.
Thajiwas Glacier
A paradise on Earth, the name "Sonamarg" itself signifies its
beauty: The Golden Meadow. Set in a backdrop of snow capped
mountains and bright flowers, this place is sure to get your energy
flowing.
Sonamarg, which means 'meadow of gold' has, as its backdrop, snowy
mountains against a cerulean sky. the Sindh meanders along here and
abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main
river. In late April when Sonamarg is open for road transport, the
visitors can have access to snow which is furnished all over like a
white carpet.
Ponies can be
hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier a major attraction during
the summer months. However, there is need for some stricter
regulation to save the environment of the area from over tourism.
Litters such as plastic bottles, etc., are strewn all over along the
track.
Day
03 : Srinagar - Pahalgam ( 3 - 4 hrs ) - Srinagar
After breakfast drive to Pahalgam. Enjoy the nature and admire the
beauty of this calm place and be in awe of the serene surroundings.
Also visit "Valley of Shepherds". One can also enjoy a pony ride to
nearby places like Chandanwadi (on a direct hire basis) or if you
are an avid nature lover you may take pleasure in a peaceful walk
along the River Lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes
also & is the base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage.
After
sightseeing back to Srinagar and Overnight stay in hotel.
Betaab Valley
It is just 15 km away from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of
Jammu and Kashmir. The name of the valley is inherited from the name
of the famous film Betaab of Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh as the
shooting was covered there. It is in the middle of Chandanwari
Pahalgam and is covered by the snow peaked mountains and lovely lush
green meadows making a velvety path. Come in this romantic valley of
Betaab and indulge in the romanticism of Pahalgam.
Aru
Valley
Located at a distance of 12 km from Pahalgam, this village is
surrounded by greens and behind the greens the tall snow topped
mountains raises their head giving it a more picturesque view.
Trekking to this place is very much alluring as the way towards it
will make you elated and from here also you can trek towards Kolohoi
glacier.
Chandanwari
Located at a distance of 15 km from Pahalgam it takes 40 mins to
reach Chandanwari from Pahalgam. As you approach towards Chandanwari
you will pass through the old Pahalgam town lined up by some
traditional kashmiri houses. Many waterfalls coming out of the
melted snow decorates the sides of the roads.
Day 04: Departure
After breakfast transferred to Airport for onward destination.
